Join us on August 29 at 2pm for a lovely, late August afternoon in NB’s Literature Garden with indigenous drumming, a reading by poet and children’s author Lynn Davies, and a tour with garden creator Steve Heard. There will also be children’s activities, so this is an event all ages can enjoy and be inspired by!
Gardens and literature have often gone together. Gardens precede feasts. Some may even think of a garden as a type of book, with each plant telling its unique story – or rising, poem-like, from hidden root systems as part of an intricate collective – containing multitudes and mysteries. That’s why Word Feast is so excited to present its first reading in the Fredericton Botanic Garden’s Literature Garden, which was created using a number of plants highlighted in works by New Brunswick writers both past and present.
