Word Feast is thrilled to announce the program for our festival’s first virtual edition. This year’s offerings consist of a fresh selection of take-out to dine-in options, with a sure-to-inspire keynote address from New Brunswick’s own David Adams Richards, readings by a powerhouse quartet of poets, conversations about the art of literary translation, and celebrations of local writing history.

While many of our events will air live online, you can always stop by our YouTube channel to grab a midnight or midday snack.

We can’t wait to see all of you at these virtual events. It’s true that 2020 is a different kind of year, but we’ve enjoyed narrowing down the essence of what makes Word Feast great and determining how we could best bring that to the community in spite of COVID-19.

Connection through celebrating the written word has always been at the heart of this festival – we want to create spaces, events, and opportunities that will help inspire the next generation of readers and writers, and showcase the best of what’s available for word lovers of all ages. This year’s events will give you an opportunity to connect with writers from the local community, as well as from across Canada, and to take part in conversations from the comfort of home – where your books are!!

One thing 2020 has taught us is the importance of the arts community and the work being done by our creators, along with the enduring value of works left by those who have gone before.

So let’s celebrate that. Come and feast on words with us again.

See you ”there.”
