Fredericton’s own Word Feast Literary Festival will be holding a series of free, one hour writing workshops starting Saturday, December 17th at 10:30 a.m. at the Fredericton High School. Each workshop will be facilitated by a professional writer and based on various genres or aspects of writing. Everything from world-building to lyric writing, poetry to screenwriting will be offered. So sharpen your writing tools and join us for an engaging and interactive Saturday morning writing session. Check back frequently for which workshop will be offered next.

Postcard stories or flash fiction pieces are very short stories, often humorous or surprising, hiding secrets or sharing memories. Join us on March 25 to write stories small enough to fit on the back of a postcard. Bring a photo or drawing to use, if you like, or get inspiration from the postcards provided. Will your very short story hint at a secret? Do you have news to send from an unexpected place? Is it easier to apologize or admit a mistake in writing?
