Come join us at the beautiful Gallery on Queen, 406 Queen Street, for readings by the most recent winners of the New Brunswick Book Awards: Jenna Lyn Albert (Poetry), the late Ray Fraser (Fiction) — work to be read by Sharon Fraser, and Jacques Poitras (Nonfiction). Also featuring special guest, Acadienne poet Émilie Turmel. Our emcee for the evening will be R.M. Vaughan incoming UNB Writer-in-Residence!
Poetry Bash – 7 pm Sept 19, York County Cider, 38 Main Street, Fredericton

Come join us at York County Cider for readings from a quartet of fabulous poets: Matthew Gwathmey, Doyali Islam, Parliamentary Poet Laureate Georgette LeBlanc, and Douglas Walbourne-Gough! The Poetry Bash is a Word Feast tradition – for the third year going, local poet and Word Feast Board Member Jenn Houle will be emceeing. Don’t miss it!
Shining a Light on New Brunswick Writers – 4:30 p.m. Sept 20, Harriet Irving Library UNB

Join Jocelyn Thompson and Christine Lovelace in the Poets’ Corner of the Harriet Irving Library Lobby for a lively and interesting talk about The New Brunswickana Project and the Literary Archives at UNB Libraries! There will be an accompanying display of recently published literary works from Frog Hollow, Goose Lane & Gaspereau Press.
Friday Night Lit – 7 pm September 20, Memorial Hall, UNB

Join us at Mem Hall for FRIDAY NIGHT LIT! The evening will feature a reading by Shannon Webb-Campbell and the 3rd annual Word Feast Lecture — “Writing in a Dangerous Time” delivered by our festival headliner Carrianne Leung! After the lecture, both authors will sit down with CBC host Colleen Kitts-Goguen for an on-stage discussion. Don’t miss out on this sure-to-be-fabulous event! Free and open to all! Cash bar and snacks available!
Odd Sundays at Word Feast – 2pm September 22, The Tipsy Muse Café, 88 Regent St. Fredericton

Word Feast and Odd Sundays are happy to welcome Danny Jacobs to The Tipsy Muse to read from his work. An opening set will feature the winner and runners-up of Word Feast’s second Postcard Story Contest! Look for an announcement in September!
And of course there will be the Odd Sundays standards: open mic and free book draw. This event is free and open to the public.
